Your
session begins at 9.30am when you will be met by Rod in
the Owl Garden. He will take you around the new owl aviaries,
and as you leave this area you will be accompanied by Tiksi,
our Eurasian Eagle Owl, and Tundra, the Snowy owl, and you
will fly them to posts around the field. You
will then collect Inca, the Peruvian Striped Owl from her
aviary and you will fly her to your gloved hand, placing
her gently on the perches. She will glide incredible distances
despite her small size, as she would in the wild.
After
tea and cakes you will take Nadi, our young Bengal Eagle
owl along the river trail, and enjoy his long low swooping
flights from his high branch to your gloved hand. This is
an amazing experience in a beautiful and natural setting.
You
will then be taken to our medieval World of Owls barn, and
fly four of our specially trained owls to your fist, or
encourage them onto the 'pounce box' and watch them dive
from their high branches. This is an amazing display of
natural owl behaviour in the wild in a multimedia presentation.

delicious Somerset Cream Tea, 'Mottley' and 'Moccadoo' our
two South American owls will take centre stage during our
rainforest demonstration back in the Medieval barn, followed
by Cleo and Patra as they dart around the barn.
