Exmoor
Owl and Hawk Centre is situated within Exmoor
National Park, just one mile from Porlock. This delightful
village has recently been awarded best Somerset village for
2009. Here you can find places to eat, such as The
Ship Inn on the High Street, situated opposite the Porlock
Visitor Centre, where you can find out everything you need
to know about the local area. If you wish for a meal to mark

extensive use of fresh local produce, creating wonderful home
cooked meals, served by friendly staff in a warm,relaxed and

We
are situated within the
National Trust Holnicote Estate, a stunning estate given
to the National Trust by the Acland family in 1944. Our farmhouse,
built in 1456, was part of this estate, and we are surrounded
by endless riding and walking countryside. If you stay with
us you will never tire of the beautiful spots within walking
distance of our farmhouse, and will long to return once you
have left!
There
are plenty of visitor attractions within short driving distance
such as: Animal Farm
Adventure Park is set on 23 acres of farm land in the beautiful
Somerset countryside; Bristol
Zoo where you can spend a fun- acked day with over 400 amazing
species from lions to love beetles; with most of the exhibits
under cover, you can enjoy your visit whatever the weather;
Dunster
Castle with its romantic turrets and towers, remodelled
in the 19th century, but an important fortress for over 1,000
years, on a dramatic hilltop location with sweeping views over
Exmoor and the Bristol Channel, terraced gardens with sub-tropical
plants, home to the National Collection of strawberry trees!
North Devon hosts the Milky
Way Adventure Theme Park, in North Devon - a great day out
in Devon for all the family; Exmoor
Zoo is a unique and an unusual zoo to visit with birds,
mammals, monkeys and lemurs; the Cobbaton
Combat Centre - a
Military museum covering most of World War II;Some distance
