Have
you ever wanted to have the opportunity of taking photos of
owls or birds of prey close at hand, watch them fly and study
them from a photographer's viewpoint. We can now provide you
with the unique opportunity of doing just this with a dedicated
member of staff for some of your visit, working with the birds
so that you can take photos you never thought possible. You
can take photos of any of our birds as they are flown in challenging
situations. You will benefit if you have an SLR camera, as taking
photos of birds in flight requires a rapid image system and
in our opinion non-slr cameras do not have a fast enough shutter
speed for the photos you are trying to take with flying birds.
However,
there are beautiful gardens, and portrait photos that you may
wish to take of the birds and animals, for which any camera
would be suitable. The photographic opprotunities here are infinite.
You
can visit and take photos at any time. If you wish to employ
the assistance of a member of staff to demonstrate, fly or handle
the birds, the charges are as follows:
Half
day private session (up to maximum 6 people) - £50 per
person including entrance, dedicated staff time, and refreshments.
This will enable you to take photos of birds not possible during
the normal day.
Suitable
for individuals, groups or clubs. Please do not hesitate to
give us a ring to discuss your particular requirements. Rod
is a keen amateur photographer (see the pictures on our website)
and understands the needs of the photographer, the ability of
the birds, and the skill of the bird handler, to bring all together
for the moment.
If
you wish your visit may also include taking video footage of
the birds in flight. This is your day, we will tailor it to
suit your particular requirements.
